East Texas Regional Airport to Construct New Taxiway

1. East Texas Regional Airport received a $3.2 million federal grant Thursday to upgrade their taxiway. The grant was announced by U.S Sen. John Cornyn, and Airport Manager Virginia Hall explained that some of the taxiway will be resurfaced, while another part will be rebuilt.

   The taxiway will cause that route to be closed, but it will not affect the normal airport traffic. Many of the taxiways are used for personal, commercial and charter flights.
